Dulux Prime Accredited Powder Coaters have all the benefits of our Accredited Powder Coater program, with the exclusive ability to nominate those in their Fabricator and Franchisee network to issue Dulux Alumi Shield Warranties on their behalf for non- habitable and residential projects less than 4 levels in approved specified conditions.

Your Dulux Prime Accredited Power Coater will have demonstrated their ability to meet stringent quality conditions and international standards. That’s why only Dulux Prime Accredited Powder Coaters and their nominated Fabricator and Franchisee networks can offer our Dulux Alumi Shield warranties, providing further assurance that it’s all worthwhile.

To be officially recommended by Dulux, our Accredited Powder Coaters are re-assessed every 18 months. This certifies that they have demonstrated the following:

1. A suitable factory is set up and processes are in place – We conduct a factory audit together with a review of processes and record keeping.
2. The ability to deliver applications to specification over time – We conduct a review of all sample testing for warranty projects in the last 12 months. A Powder Coater must also have at least 5 years history delivering product to warranty specification standards.
3. They are a prime die holder that only coats their own products – We confirm the Powder Coater’s ability to employ strict quality control of materials.
4. They hold a valid Endurocolour® registered Applicator status – The Endurocolour® program is an industry standard designed specifically for New Zealand by WGANZ (Window & Glass Association New Zealand). We ensure that all Dulux Prime Accredited Powder Coaters are Endurocolour® registered Applicators and that they meet the Powder Coating Quality Assurance Standard (PQAS).

Both the audit and sample testing review must meet strict quality conditions and international standards before they can meet Dulux Alumi Shield and/or Steel Shield Warranty application requirements.

All Dulux Prime Accredited Powders Coaters are Endurocolour® registered Applicators, meaning they must meet strict criteria based on the Powder Coating Quality Assurance Standard (PQAS). This includes submitting and passing monthly sample checks of their powder coated production.

For all commercial and non-habitable Alumi Shield Warranties (including residential projects over 3 levels), our Dulux Prime Powder Coaters supply powder coated samples from the project. These are then tested at our Australian and New Zealand technical centres to ensure they meet the strict standards required to gain a Dulux Alumi Shield warranty.
