The Alumi Shield Standard Product Warranty is automatically applied to non-habitable and residential projects less than 4 levels completed by our Dulux Accredited Powder Coaters.
Your Dulux Accredited Powder Coater will simply need to check your project’s location before confirming the product suitability and warranty validity.
The Dulux Alumi Shield Standard Product Warranty is available for warranty grade Dulux Powder coat products on architectural grade aluminium when applied by a Dulux Accredited Powder Coater.
The Alumi Shield™ Warranty is made up of two key components, a colour warranty (for fade and chalking) and a durability warranty (film integrity).

Fluoroset warranties can only be issued by level 2 Accredited Powder Coaters as part of either the Dulux Alumi Shield Standard Project or Commercial Project warranty which requires project specific sample testing – as a result it is not available as part of the Dulux Alumi Shield Standard Product Warranty
The Alumi Shield Standard Product Warranty is automatically applied to all non-habitable and residential projects less than 4 levels completed by our Dulux Accredited Powder Coaters. Your Dulux Accredited Powder Coater will simply need to check your project’s location before confirming the product suitability and warranty validity.
Asset owners need to retain their invoice from their supplier, which will act as their proof of purchase and warranty reference.

Use this together with the Dulux Macroclimate Corrosivity Corrosivity Zone Maps of New Zealand Guide, available here, the online Dulux SpecMap tool, available here.
• Alumi Shield™ warranties are available when applied by a Dulux Accredited Powder Coater to the warranty specification on recommended project types and conditions
All Dulux powder products are NOT suitable in strongly acidic or caustic environments so pH must be between 5 and 9.
1. Electro and Duratec are only suitable for environments >10m from the high tide line.
2. Duralloy is only suitable for environments >100m from the high tide line.
Alumi Shield Warranties on perforated and expanded aluminium in exterior environments are available for the following products and conditions:
a. Mild – Duralloy, Electro, Charisma and Duratec (Grey Primer/E-Prime base coat not mandatory)
b. Severe – Duratec, Charisma and Electro (Grey Primer/E-Prime base coat mandatory)

Use the following table which references AS 2312.1, SNZ TS 3404 and ISO 9223 to identify the environment, conditions and atmospheric corrosivity categories. To pinpoint your projects corrosivity zone this table should be used together with the Dulux Macroclimate Corrosivity Zone Maps of New Zealand Guide, available here, or Dulux SpecMap tool available here.
1. Geothermal environments greater than 500m of a bore, mud pool, steam vent, or other source with a pH between 5 and 9. For pH outside this consult Dulux.

Alumi Shield warranties are not available if the powder coating is immersed in any liquid.
